Buyer Preparations:

Buying in the Current New York City Market

Tony: Today we're going to talk about what it means to be a buyer in this market, and how we can help you prepare to do the best possible job at winning.

Emily: There's so many things that need to be done before you even start going out to look for an apartment, and we're here to help you do that.

Tony: Our first conversation with you is going to be all about preparation, because the only way to succeed in this market is to be prepared because you're up against a lot of competition, especially when a property is really, really great, you got a lot of people going after it.

Emily: We can help you find the attorney, the real estate attorney that should be in New York City.

Tony: Absolutely.

Emily: Find a lender if you plan on having a mortgage, getting a financial statement together, because that's really important when you are going to be presenting an offer.

Tony: Part of our job is to make sure that you look incredibly qualified to the seller. We've got to get past the seller’s agent, we got to get past the seller, ultimately making your way to a board meeting approval. So having you look good on paper, having you look good as individuals, that's our job.

Emily: And then we could go and have fun and go look at all these beautiful apartments.

Tony: Absolutely. So it's really coming down to our interaction with you, getting you prepared, connecting you with people that we know and we trust, and having you really be prepared for everything you're about to experience, because it's going to be a lot. Our job is to help really alleviate the stress, let you know exactly what's coming, and feel good all the way through.

Emily: Right. We try to make it as seamless for you as possible.

Tony: So the first step; let's have a conversation about what exactly you're looking for because you may or may not even know exactly where you're going to end up. And then from there, we're going to start laying out all the future steps. So, first step; let's talk.
